Dental veneers are very thin shells that are bonded to your teeth. For them to fit properly and look natural, we must first remove a layer of enamel. For this reason, once dental veneers are placed, the procedure cannot be reversed.
While dental veneers are an excellent choice to improve many cosmetic dental issues, they are not recommended for everyone. People who have problems with decay or gum disease are not good candidates for dental veneers. Once those conditions are treated, however, you may again become a candidate for dental veneers.
