Add 15 to 20 more horsepower and great looks, too. Direct-fit, full-length headers from BBK will help your late model Mustang produce an extra 15 to 20 hp. Constructed from heavy 14-gauge mandrel-bent tubing with 3/8 in. thick die-stamped flanges, these headers come in your choice of chrome or ceramic coated finishes. Mustang in FIA GT3?
When you think of the FIA GT3 racing series in Europe, the cars that comes to mind are the Audi R8 LMS, BMW Z4 GT3 like the Need for Speed from my last post, Porsche GT3 etc. Mostly Euro cars and maybe a Ford GT in there once in a while. But can you believe a Ford Mustang racing against these machines? Yup, a race team who ran a Ford GT in previous season will be currently running the Ford Mustang GT3. In addition to Mustangs, Scott is also addicted to skiing - snowskiing and monoskiing Back on the subject of cars, Scott has a "Heavily Modified" 1980 Mercury Capri RS. "The list of mods is lengthy and the receipt pile is high," says Scott. The car has been completely rebuilt for open road racing.
Brian grew up in a Ford family and naturally took to the blue oval. Since 1985, he has been employed as a Ford service technician. "My field is mostly driveability but my love is high performance. There is nothing like the satisfaction of improving the performance of a vehicle and doing it to look like (and perform better than) a factory option. It started with one car then grew into a large operation after the word got out in the local high performance Ford community. A coworker and I were the only ones doing it, at least on a dealership level, in the area. I'm only now finding out we were lucky to have a somewhat supportive employer." Brianis an activecompetitorin SCCA Time Trialscompetition. Brian drove the Brad's Custom Auto 1996 Mystic Cobra to two SCCA RegionalChampionships. Northwest Region Sports Car Club of America 2006 Time Trials SPO Champion Northwest Region Sports Car Club of America 2007 Time Trials TT1 Champion
Lenny started working on cars and engines with his dad way back in the sixties. He bought his first car in 1970: a 1963 corvair, and after 300,000 miles had to bury it. While driving the corvair he purchased his second car: a 1967 Firebird ("Wish I still had that one!!"). He went on to Bellevue Community College to graduate with an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology. He just couldn't keep his mind off cars and increasing their power and handling and wound up working at numerous auto shops and at a few dealerships for 37 years. "Then Brad called and here I am." He has been a volunteer Patrol and Rescue person for the local Rescue team for the limited and unlimited hydroplane and flatbottom races since 1982. He purchased his race boat in 1993 and had it race ready for the 1995 race season. He has won many races, was the Summer Nationals Champion in the Pro Stock class in 2001 and of recent 1st in local American Power Boat Association (APBA) Region 10 for the last two years. In 2007 he was 3rd in the Nation and 2008 was 2nd in the Nation in the Super Stock class. Lenny hopes to pursue the coveted #1 position so his boat can wear the US1 numbers. "So a bit more horsepower and better handling just may be the ticket." Horsepower and handling can affect a boat just as it can a car and that's what Brad's Custom Auto is famous for. Now Lenny gets to build engines to improve horsepower and modify suspensions and brakes to handle the new power for the strip or the track!!
