Alderwood Physical Therapy is a small privately owned physical therapy clinic located near the Alderwood Mall and Lynnwood Convention Center. It is owned and operated by two physical therapists with over 28 years of experience each. The owners both graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1981.
Our clinic is unique in that we have private rooms for our patients giving personal one on one care. We provide full one hour treatment sessions for most clients. We really get to know our patients in order to provide the best possible care.
Karen Walsh and Cindy George started Alderwood Physical Therapy in 1987 and continue to be the providing therapists. Karen is an expert in Myofascial Release treatments and Cindy is certified in Neurodevelopmental treatments and is also trained in Lymphedema treatments. Both continue to work with Orthopedic and Neurologic clients.
We will work with you whether your goal is to return to aggressive sports or to be able to play with your grandchildren.
We utilize therapeutic techniques that include myofascial release, modalities, exercise, manual techniques, cold laser, and massage to restore pain free function. We do not use cookbook techniques. Our clinic works individually with each patient to develop the most effective program.

Interferential electrical stimulation
Interferential stimulation is a type of electrical stimulation that permeates the tissue more efficiently and with less discomfort than previous electrical stimulation treatments. It works to reduce pain, improve range of motion, or promote local healing following various tissue injuries.

portable electrical stimulation unit that inhibits the perception of pain.

Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes.
For lower extremity injures, it is good to bring a pair of shorts.
For arm or hand injuries, a short sleeve shirt is preferred.
