Acute Rehabilitation Receives CARF Accreditation;
Program Helps Patients Regain Life Skills
Auburn Regional Medical Center has been awarded CARF accreditation for its Acute Rehabilitation program. CARF is the highest level of accreditation available for programs of this kind, which help patients regain function after stroke, injury, surgery or other disabling conditions.
Acute Rehabilitation at Auburn Regional Medical Center is an inpatient program that includes intensive therapy that is personalized to meet the needs of each patient. Rehabilitation plans may include speech, occupational and physical therapy, as well as support from dietitians, pharmacists and others healthcare professionals who can help patients become as independent as possible. Family members are encouraged to be a part of a patient's rehabilitation program.
