The Northwest Colon and Rectal Clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus with an emphasis on the surgical management of colorectal cancer, diverticulitis and inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis). Our physicians have expertise in sphincter saving surgery for rectal cancer, ulcerative colitis and familial polyposis. We also offer screening for colorectal cancer and colonoscopy and treat complex anorectal disorders including incontinence, pelvic floor abnormalities, and anal fistulas.
Most of the procedures we perform are conducted in the office or in an outpatient surgery setting. For patients requiring hospitalization, we generally use Northwest Hospital or Swedish Medical Center.
The Northwest Colon and Rectal Clinic is honored to have been selected as one of only 38 centers in the United States for an approved Fellowship training program in Colorectal Surgery. Our Fellow, who is fully trained in General Surgery, spends one year specializing in Colon and Rectal Surgery working under the direct supervision of Drs. Billingham, Isler, and Kimmins. The Fellow is an integral part of our team, seeing patients with us and assisting in surgery and hospital care. In this way, we strive to deliver the highest possible level of quality health care.
