Montessori Time students, ages 3-6 years, grow into self-confident thinkers, creative problem solvers, and lifelong learners. Our children develop a respect for self, others, the environment and their community. Students enjoy a safe, prepared environment with a hands-on approach to learning that encourages them to learn by doing and by experimentation.
Montessori Time provides a stimulating, child-oriented environment in which children explore, touch, and learn without fear. The environment includes activities in five major integrated curriculum areas including Language, Math, Practical Life, Sensorial, Geography, Science, and Art. There is no teacher's desk because the teacher is a guide and facilitator, not a director. Using the Montessori Method of teaching, children come to depend on themselves to ask their own questions as well as to seek their own answers and thus grow into self-confident thinkers, creative problem-solvers and lifelong learners. The end result is to encourage life-long learning and reinforce the pleasure of encountering and mastering a new skill or idea.

History and information about the Montessori Method of Teaching
Montessori Time is a member of the Pacific Northwest Montessori Association (PNMA), North American Montessori Teachers' Association (NAMTA), and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
At Montessori Time we believe that just as a rose opens up into a beautiful flower in time, so does each child bloom or develop into a self-disciplined, confident, competent, and spiritually strong person in time. The Montessori method aids in that development.
