Dr L. James Wagner is a Naturopathic Physician practicing in Bellingham, Washington. He provides medical care to patients ranging from pediatric, adolescent and adult, covering a variety of conditions. Patients come to the clinic from much of Western Washington and Southwest British Columbia.

Dr Wagner presents many options for pursuing a holistic approach to healthcare. These include a thorough examination and state of the art diagnostic procedures. Treatment modalities are balanced and may include counseling, botanical medicine, homeopathy, nutritional supplementation, dietary guidance, and physical medicine. Many of these modalities are used in synergistic combinations to provide the greatest benefit for patient care.
As a naturopathic physician Dr Wagner has the ability to prescribe certain drugs that may facilitate the healing process while maintaining the philosophy of do no harm. Intramuscular and intravenous nutrition is recommended in some acute cases, but is definitely not the only route to administer nutrition. Minor surgery, biopsies and removal of foreign bodies is another range of services Dr. Wagner can offer.
Patient education is paramount to Dr. Wagner and his approach to achieving optimal patient health. Above all, naturopathic medicine requires a cooperative approach to health and healing, so please follow your doctor's recommendations and communicate any health issues you experience.
Our office is located about 75 minutes north of Seattle and 20 minutes south of the Canadian border.
We offer a 20% discount to patients who pay in Canadian dollars. Many naturopathic remedies we dispense are exempt from Washington sales tax. A referral from another physician is not necessary to see a naturopath in most instances as we are primary care providers.
