What is Pouncing Rain?Pouncing Rain Jewelry and Metal Working Center is a community education center. We offer ongoing weekly classes in jewelry making and silversmithing, as well as one, two, three, and five day workshops in various other jewelry making techniques. We have a studio membership program for students and community jewelry/metal artists to work independently in our fully equipped studio. It is a supportive, fun, social environment that gives our members a chance to interact with peers, share ideas, and produce jewelry art.
Pouncing Rain also has a retail store that sells jewelry making tools, equipment, and supplies. We are a Thompson Enamel distributor as well as carry the line of Precious Metal Clay. We have the tools and equipment to make jewelry as well as a selection of beads, charms, gemstones, raw metals, and wires for students and the public. In the retail store, we also host our member's gallery, which is a retail outlet for members to show and sell a sampling of their work. It is exciting and inspiring to see the talent in our community.
Our core curriculum is taught by gifted teachers and artists. We draw on the jewelry arts community for our class and workshop instructors, drawing some world class instructors. We are blessed with a talented and helpful staff that are all either former students or studio members and have a love and enthusiasm for this great medium of jewelry arts.
We invite you to come and visit us. Come join our community and share with us this fascinating and diverse art. We are located in Bellingham Washington, between Seattle and Vancouver British Columbia.
