AUTUMN ADULT RE
Oct. 3: “Tending Adam’s Garden” Begins
Interfaith Reading of Qu’ran
In response to the proposed burning of the Qur’an in Florida on 9/11, and the growing intolerance, hatred and nastiness that has been gaining steam in this country, Northlake worked closely with the IMAN Center to do something positive. Together, we co-hosted an honoring of the victims of 9/11, PLUS an interfaith reading of selections from the Qur’an in Arabic and English. This was a small but courageous act to reach out to our neighbors in a time when their inboxes are being filled with hate mail and worse. [view video]
