A quiet, soothing, balm of time and beauty awaits you that will refresh and restore your mind, soul and body. You will remember the eloquent silence of a star filled sky, with the soft stereo sounds of the Naches River across the highway and a waterfall in the backyard. We have a fire pit in the back yard so we or our guests can enjoy a campfire right here. We hope you will remember with pleasure the ambiance of warm hospitality, good food, a healing rest, and the beauty of the mountains long after you leave here.
Maybe you'll be treated to a spectacular sunset or sunrise, or magnificent fall colors, or the first snow of the season, or a boisterous thunderstorm. Whether you decide to hike, bike or auto tour the Passes, Mount Ranier, Ski at White Pass, enjoy the local sights, or just sleep till you wake up, eat breakfast at noon and relax all day, the choice is yours. We aim to accommodate your wishes in order to make your stay here very special and unforgettable.
We love music though we certainly are not professional musicians. There are two pianos (including a 9' Baldwin downstairs) a Technics organ, a harp, two or three guitars etc. We are always happy to have guests who like to make music with us or for us or just for themselves and we get the privilege of enjoying it.
Two of our three guestrooms have private decks, and all have access to the big deck which over looks the Nile Valley, the Naches River, and Rattlesnake Canyon. The view from the deck is a breathtaking panorama sweeping from below Eagle Rock down river to the mountains up river that form Chinook Pass.
We feel very blessed and fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the world. Five years ago when my house (at this location) burned to the ground I decided to build a house that would better accommodate guests. The main kitchen, "dining room", and our living area is on the main floor. The guest rooms (upstairs) have their own private bathrooms with a jetted tub/ shower. As a guest here you have access to a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortably furnished rec. room with an enormous stone fireplace, entertainment center, and a Nautilus 3000 elliptical exercise machine. Each guest room has it's own TV and it's own separate full dish program with it's own remote control. All bedrooms, rec room, and living room have 3 speed paddle fans. Each of the guest rooms have a possible two phone line capability (for private phone line and private internet access) to be used by a guest writing or researching and needing to work in a quiet uninterrupted environment.
