07-23-2010 - Updates...
Many things have happened over the past 6 months. Many of you have heard that I sold the business. This is not true. I was looking into the possibility but nothing ever happened. So, I am not selling, I'm not going anywhere. I have been upgrading towers and fixing trouble areas. More tower upgrades are coming. We now have a free wifi hotspot in downtown Ritzville. We will be doing some remodeling in the office as well.

11-1-2009 - Updates...
New radios have been installed at Harrington and at the Reith tower. Looking into getting stronger antennas as well. Ralston and Tanke are next on the list.
I had my consultation with the surgeon and have my surgery scheduled for Dec. 4th. This will have me down for about 8 weeks. I am busy planning out the next month trying to get as much done as possible. Biggest problems first. I have someone helping me with the tower climbing which has been wonderful.
I thank you all for your patience and well wishes throughout this whole ordeal. It has been very stressful for me, my family and especially for Sue and Mike at the office. I hope to have things under control to make my recovery time as easy on Sue and Mike as possible. I'm glad I have them to take care of things.

9-18-2009 - Service Updates...
On Saturday the 19th the E-mail server will be taken offline in the afternoon for several while I update software and enhance the virus protection. Recently there were several that got past the existing protection. In order to finish the removal process the server needs to be disconnected from the internet.
Also, over the past several days many customers reported getting an email (that appeared to be from our server) warning about a security breach due to virus'. The email is not from us. We feel it has been generated by way of forwarded jokes and the like that collect addresses. Some bad person out there has used these address in order to collect information. Be assured that any kind of problem like this we would be contacting customers by phone and not collecting information by email. Any kind of mass email that would come out of this office would be more personal and also will always have my name on it. If you did get this email and replied to it please call the office and have one of us change your passwords just to be safe.

Over the past few months (since Bruce's death in April) I have been scrambling to get up to speed on many problems that have been taking place in our wireless system. I was hoping to have these issues resolved by now. Unfortunately, I have not been in the best of health (as some of you already know). I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis about two and a half years ago. Since, I have tried many different drugs to help control it. Most have not worked. All of this has impaired my ability to work as much as I would like. I really appreciate all of you who have shown patience and compassion while I work as hard as I can to fix things.

Radio upgrades for Marcellus Tower, Harrington, Ralston, Washtucna, Stahl, Ruff, Wirth, Kinch, Tanke, and Baumann.
This is not necessarily the order they will happen. Marcellus, Harrington and Ralston are first. I will be climbing as weather permits (mainly wind). I am trying to get as much done as I can before the doctors decide to operate.

Over the past few days we have received many emails about messages not getting to outside services. After digging into the issue, we found a weakness that had allowed some virus' to infest the server. These virus' were sending out massive amounts of junk mail. This caused the other services to blacklist our server. As these reports were sent in I contacted the different services to let them know that we were fixing the problem. Most of them stated that it can take up to 48 hours for the ban to be lifted. Most of today's down time was due to the removal of infested files. We are sorry for the inconvenience this caused. We now have new anti-virus software installed which should help prevent this in the future. Work is underway to build a new and more powerful server that will be able to better handle the large workload of emails that our service processes.

If you have any questions feel free to email me: brent@ritzcom.net as this is the best way to reach me these days.
