A Word of Welcome from the Senior Pastor:
Every Sunday, sometime during worship, I thank God for how good it is to worship him at this church and with these people. I love being here. Were a place where there is a common commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and a common joy in following him.
Let me share with you some things I see here that cause me to praise and thank God:
The faces of the congregation young and old, families and empty nesters, from all over Spokane as we worship together; the joy in those faces as they sing, the deep attention that they pay as we spend time in Gods Word together, our sense of family as we pray and take communion with one another.
The way in which this congregation is invested in living out their faith in places like Tijuana, Gambella Africa, San Francisco, and in missions all over the Inland Northwest. In this congregation there is a hunger to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in our words and in our actions.
The deep, mutual commitment that I see in the small groups of this church as men and women invest themselves in the lives of each other.
Come on and join us here at First Pres. Come and worship with us. Come and learn about the love and grace that Christ has for us here in this community of faith.
Blessings John Sowers
