OBHC is a 501 (c) 3 Private Not for Profit Corporation dedicated to supporting and engaging our consumers in managing their personal growth and recovery while they participate as healthy members of the community. OBHC is contractually and morally committed to Okanogan County for providing quality integrated health care to all Okanogan County residents without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, disability, religion, creed, age, or sexual orientation. We provide counseling, case management, life skills training, treatment, prevention, education, and assist with supportive housing to persons with mental health, chemical dependency, and/or developmental disability issue or concern. Our range of professional services is designed to ensure that the level of care needed will be provided to everyone seeking our help.
Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare was established in July of 2002. OBHC is staffed with more than 70 professional full time employees. For the benefit of serving our clients and thanks to the dedicated effort of staff, community leaders, and the OBHC Board of Directors, we were successful in building a beautiful and highly functional 32,000+ sq. ft. integrated facility in Omak, Washington, that opened in the Spring of 2006. We are governed by a thirteen member Board of Directors with diverse representation that includes schools, social agencies, stakeholders, and a broad spectrum of community members.
Our goal for our consumers is to take a responsive approach to their needs, to seek to reduce health disparities, and to be proactive in addressing issues that affect them in their lives.
