Odessa is home of the Deutschesfest a German festival which takes place annually in September. There is a 9-hole golf course here as well as in neighboring Harrington, and you can visit Rocky Coulee Brewery. You can go on a Scabland Ice Flood tour or take a walk on a geological trail.
