Tom Cole has been practicing his trade for over thirty years. He grew up in the small town of Sequim, Washington, where his parents had the family jewelry business. Tom left Sequim in 1969 and went to Seattle to begin his formal apprenticeship at a jewelry manufacturing and wholesale company. In 1976 he became Vice President in charge of manufacturing. Yearning to return to the "small town" environment to raise his family, Tom came back to Sequim in 1979 and purchased the family jewelry store. Tom sold the store in 1990, to concentrate on designing and manufacturing for wholesale customers. His latest extension for bringing artistic designs to retail customers is his move to his new store on the East side of Sequim, to bring more customers the finest in custom design jewelry.

Tom Cole's strong beliefs in customer service, quality products, and fair prices has served as the foundation for which Tom attributes much of Plaza Jewelers success and recognition as the "friendly jewelers".
