"After a four-year stint in the army, and graduation from Washington State University, I went to work for Chubb Insurance in Seattle as a commercial underwriter. For three years I loved commuting from Kirkland to downtown Seattle. But as the years went on, I decided that I wanted to work with the public, not pieces of paper.

Eastern Washington was always our first choice as to where to own an Independent Insurance Agency. And in the spring of 1976, my pregnant wife and I came to the Tri-Cities with our dog and cat to do just that. We bought half of Columbia Insurance Services, a small agency here in Kennewick. The economy of the area was growing and our agency prospered with that growth. Two and a half years later I bought the other half of the business and changed its name to Mulvihill Insurance Services. In 1992 we decided to have a permanent home for our office and built the building we still occupy today.

Our business is 50% commercial and 50% personal lines. That is my background and I am blessed to love what I do."
