About Killdeer Landscaping
Steve Martin has an associate degree in Landscape and Environmental Horticulture. He worked for 12 years as the horticulturists for the Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. It was there that his style of naturalistic landscaping developed. While there he worked with some of the nations finest landscape architects.
In 2001 Steve left Bloedel to start a wholesale, specialty nursery called Woodland Gardens. This was a successful business that sold shade plants to retailer nurseries throughout the western Washington. In 2008 Steve decided he missed the creativity of landscaping and decided to close the nursery to start Killdeer Landscaping. The combination of Steves education and experience makes him uniquely qualified for any landscaping projects.
