Karen Halverson has been practicing law for twenty years. She graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in 1988, and graduated from Wheaton College in Massachusetts in 1985.
She was the assistant director and felony supervisor at the Snohomish County Public Defenders Office, where she represented persons charged with all types of cases including murder, sex offenses, assaults, vehicular homicide/assaults, robbery, drug, and property offenses. She has also represented clients in extradition matters, on probation and parole violations, and at civil commitment proceedings. She is death-penalty qualified, and has represented clients charged with capital offenses.
Karen has been in private practice since 2001, where she continues to represent clients on criminal offenses ranging from simple assault to murder, including juvenile offenders. She also helps clients vacate and expunge their criminal records in juvenile, superior, district, and municipal courts.
While her practice emphasizes criminal defense, she also handles personal injury cases. She has been representing clients in regard to injuries they received for eight years.
