SCC is a 501(c)3 non-profit pet adoption and referral organization dedicated to helping find deserving homes for animals in SW Washington and the Portland metro area who are homeless, or about to be homeless.
We are a humane, no-kill organization staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers.
Although we do not run an independent shelter, we maintain a list of hundreds of pets just waiting to have a family of their own. If you are interested in adopting, and committed to providing a loving home for the duration of a pet's lifetime, we have many who would love to be your new companion.
C. Stein Beverage Group celebrates 20 years and saves the animals!
On May 14, 2010 C. Stein Beverage Group (C. Stein Distributing Inc., Vancouver, WA, Idaho Distributing, Boise, ID and Nouveaux Beverage, Sun Valley, ID) celebrated their 20 year anniversary. Back in 1990, Craig Stein purchased Cascade Distributing, in Vancouver, WA. He started his company with 11 employees. Today, after 18 acquisitions, C. Stein Beverage Group now has 350 employees and has expanded into the Idaho market.
C. Stein Distributing Inc. celebrated their 20th anniversary with numerous events including an employee website trivia game, recognition of eight of the original 11 employees still employed at the Vancouver, WA location, and an employee BBQ featuring a raffle for a grand prize drawing. All funds from employee raffle tickets purchased were donated to Second Chance Companions.
Craig Stein and Linn Dee Kangas adopted Tilly, a yellow Labrador Retriever, from SCC in 2006. Since that point in time, SCC has had a very special place in their hearts.
It is with great pleasure to announce the employees of C. Stein Distributing, Inc. raised a total of $1,230. Craig Stein matched his company's donation. Second Chance Companions received a total donation of $2,460. Also, many employees have adopted animals or volunteer with SCC.
This is a great relationship and Second Chance Companions is happy to call C. Stein Beverage Group a huge supporter.
