the antidote to urban life...
Located halfway between Vancouver, British Columbia and Seattle, Washington, La Conner is the perfect location from which to explore the Pacific Northwest and the San Juan Islands. The Queen is a full-service bed and breakfast offering the privacy and peacefulness of a small country inn along with the sophistication and amenities of a boutique hotel. Located just 1/2 mile (a short bike ride!) from downtown La Conner and the waterfront, The Queen offers beautiful farmland views from every room. We feature all-private bathrooms in our 5 suites, free wireless internet access, 24-hour hot beverage station, and satellite television, Jacuzzi or soaking tubs in our luxury suites (Africa, Hong Kong and South Seas).
The Queen is proud to be featured in the latest edition of the Lonely Planet Guide to the Pacific Northwest. Here's what The Lonely Planet has to say about The Queen:
“Half a mile out of town, this super-friendly B&B is well worth the hike. Beautifully furnished with a designer’s attention to detail, four rooms and a suite are geographically themed as Africa , West Indies, India and Hong Kong , and boast some fascinating round-the-world memorabilia. Bonuses include old-fashioned bathtubs, an extensive book-and-magazine collection (including old Life magazines), homemade cake and a scrumptious breakfast served in a glassed-in wraparound porch. Memorable.”
If your life is anything like the Queen's, you've had a very busy Spring and Summer and maybe now is the chance to take a little time for yourself.

“This holiday at your perfect B&B was just what we needed! Shelly’s scrambled eggs are wondrous! The bed and linens, the tub, the ambience in the house, the scenery – all these things contributed to the delicious time we spent here. Thank you so much and we will see you again soon.” Robyn and BJ
The Queen is becoming quite famous for her breakfasts. We support local growers, ranchers, small farmers and even local small-batch bread-bakers. The Queen is a locavore, and proud of it! All breakfasts are made-from-scratch and served on private tables for two. Breakfast times accommodate your schedule when at all possible.

Guests of The Queen enjoy complete privacy while visiting. The innkeepers live in a separate home and strive to be "available when needed and invisible when not", as one of our guests commented. The common rooms are yours to enjoy, with plenty of space to spread out and relax, both inside and out. Our beautiful, private, enclosed garden with firepit, pond and waterfall invites. Pick strawberries in the garden, lie in the hammock under the chestnut tree, or enjoy a glass of wine with your honey around the fire. Of course, La Conner offers unique shopping, galleries and museums and waterfront restaurants year-round. Mount Vernon, Burlington, Anacortes, Bellingham and Oak Harbor are just minutes away.
The Queen offers the perfect spot for corporate meetings and executive retreats, intimate weddings, family reunions, girlfriend getaways or the perfect romantic weekend getaway for couples.
We can customize your special occasion to your exact specifications and you are also welcome to rent the whole inn for a special event!
