The Feline Medical Clinic is a full service veterinary clinic exclusively for cats. Our clinic is founded on the belief that cats are very special. Their personalities and medical concerns are different from those of other animals. We understand the strong bond that forms between cats and their owners. As a companion, friend and confidante, your cat is an important part of the family. And, like any other family member, your cat deserves the finest possible health care. Our goal is to offer the highest quality of medical and surgical care -- a standard of care that we believe all cats deserve.
The Feline Medical Clinic, located in Vancouver, Washington, was founded in 1977 by Dr. Caroline Engle*. It was the first veterinary practice devoted solely to the health of cats in this area, and it was one of the first such practices in the entire United States. Even after all these years, we are still the only veterinary hospital committed exclusively to cats in Vancouver.
In 1990, we constructed our current facility, which was designed specifically with our feline patients in mind. Our hospital includes separate medical and surgery wards, a ward for lodging client-owned cats with special needs, and an isolation ward for cats with contagious diseases. We have a large multi-purpose treatment room and a separate sterile surgery room.
We are located off of Fourth Plain in Orchards, near the Westfield (Vancouver) Mall. We are easily accessible from SR 500 and I-205.
The Feline Medical Clinic operates within the standards of excellence of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
As an accredited hospital member of AAHA since 1979, we must continually earn our standing as leaders in the veterinary profession. We voluntarily meet AAHA's high standards and strict guidelines to ensure the best possible care for your cat.
