Welcome to my web site. I am an Optometric Physician with a private office in downtown Edmonds and a second office in the optical department of the Lake Stevens Target store. At both offices I see adults and children for eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
Our eyes and visual system are fascinating and complex. When not working properly we can have many different symptoms. Blurred vision, headaches, double vision, eyestrain, tired eyes, red eyes, dry eyes, dizziness, car sickness, even symptoms of dyslexia can all result from a problem with our visual system. Our eyes and vision can also be affected by almost any problem in our body and many of the drugs we use to treat those problems. When examining my patients I try to consider all the possibilities. That includes how we use our eyes, the health problems we have, previous eye and nervous system injuries, the drugs and supplements we take, and the physical and emotional stress we are under.
My exams include a thorough health history and eye health evaluation including tests for cataracts, glaucoma, and neurological diseases. I am certified at the highest level in Washington State to use both diagnostic and theraputic drugs when needed. I also try to educate my patients on the use of good nutrition practices, supplements, and alternative therapies when they can be helpful. My goal is to provide quality, personalized care while hopefully establishing long term relationships.
