We at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital have successfully achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association. We hold a place of honor within the association and profession. Only 14% of the veterinary practices throughout the United States and Canada have made the commitment to voluntarily participate in an on-site evaluation based on the highest standards in veterinary medicine. Our practice was evaluated on over 800 standards, proving a strong desire to provide high-quality medicine and top-notch client services. Kittens!! Lots of Kittens! We have two litters of adorable kitties for adoption through our hospital. See them all by going to our Kittens for Adoption page!
Christmas Food Drive:
Starting in November, we will be collecting non perishable food items at our hospital for donation to the Thurston County Food Bank. We will also be raffling off a deluxe Godiva chocolate gift basket valued at over $100 in order to raise cash donations for the food bank. We hope to far surpass our goal of 500 pounds of food and help provide for many families this holiday season. More information will be posted in our lobby and on our website soon!
Check Out The MVVH Newsletter!
Christina Vitazko, one of our very talented veterinary technicians, writes and publishes an awsome newsletter for our hospital. Previously it was available only in print in our front lobby for our clients to enjoy, but it is now available on our website as well! The newsletter features new articles each month on different health topics, client questions, seasonal pet topics and a breed and pet of the month column. Our clients have really enjoyed our newsletter each month and we hope by offering it online you will be able to read up throughout the year even if fluffy isn't due for his vaccines!
Our hospital has started using Home Again microchips and microchip enrollment system. The doctors and staff feel that the Home Again program gives more comprehensive lost pet protection at the best cost to our clients. The biggest difference our clients will notice is that with Home Again, your pet's enrollement in the national pet recovery database is automatic and is included in the cost of the microchip! Please visit the Home Again website for more information by clicking on the icon above.
Starting in Fall 2009, we broke ground for a new addition to our hospital. In addition to the new building, our existing building will be completely remodeled and updated. When the project is complete we will have a total of 5 exam rooms, a special procedure room and an expanded lobby and reception area. We look forward to serving our clients even better after our construction is finished and ask for your patience during the construction!
