Programs for Children and Youth
The seaside Chautauqua community of Ocean Park, ME has 130 years of history and heritage as a summer assembly in the Chautauqua tradition.
Founded in 1881, Ocean Park is a retreat to the quiet of the pines and the beach offering lectures, workshops, family programs, and opportunities for spiritual growth and renewal in a non-denominational, inter-faith setting. The Temple Garden and pergola can provide you with a time for quiet reflection or meditation and at the end of your stay, you will go home feeling just a bit more content and looking forward to your next Ocean Park encounter.

Preview of the 2011 season: There are programs for kids, families, and individuals, whether you want to play tennis, swim in the ocean, visit the Memorial Library, attend Sunday morning services, or enjoy a concert in the historic Temple. In addition, a stop by the local gift shop, the grocery store, and the variety store will provide you with some pleasant purchasing opportunities. Everyone who comes to Ocean Park eventually winds up at the Soda Fountain, a wonderful old fashioned ice cream parlor and the perfect place to complete a family activity or end an evening walk around the Park.
