DMI Drilling Construction was incorporated in Washington State in Oct. of 1991. We are responsible, well-qualified, and experienced in all methods of drilling construction. We stand above the competition by offering you personalized service. Our proficient personnel and fleet of versatile equipment make us innovative leaders in all areas of drilling operations. We recognize that in order for you to be successful, you must put your best team in the field. We would like the opportunity to be a part of that team.
We presently own and operate more drilling equipment than any contractor in the northwest, including sixteen drill Rigs, two tieback machines, and one soil nail machine. We have a variety of support equipment such as excavators, cranes, dump trucks, backhoes, lifts, semi-trucks, trailers, etc. We work out of our 8.5 acre yard in Sumner, WA, where we also have a fully equipped mechanical and fabrication shop.
We maintain an inventory of steel casing, soldier piles, timber lagging and other construction products in order to react timely to emergency situations.
Our CEO, Donald Morin, has been in the drilling business since 1955; our President, David Morin, since 1978; and our Vice President of Operations, Don Baus, since 1980. All of our operators/superintendents have 10 to 30 years or more in the business. Resumes are available for all parties upon request.
We work closely with both geotechnical and structural engineers and can provide a turnkey service including design, or we can propose a firm bid based upon your design. We can provide free site visits and analysis of your project requirements.
We are interested in all forms of drilling related construction, including but not limited to excavation support systems, soldier pile retaining walls, landslide stabilization, dewatering well systems, Shotcrete retaining walls, soil nail walls, secant walls, elevator jackshafts, underpinning and deep foundations for towers, transmission line foundations, pole structures and caissons. We specialize in difficult access situations and have the equipment and experience to drill almost any shaft. We recently completed a project where we drilled a 17 foot diameter x 80 foot deep shaft.
We offer a rental service if it is determined to be in your best interest.
Should you wish to expand our scope of work, we have experienced people capable of meeting the task. For example, concrete slabs, precast concrete panels, grade beams, walls, excavation, roads, etc. While we do not actively seek this work to avoid being in competition with your needs, we do offer this service if requested.
It is our goal at construct your project as described in our proposal and for the price you have been quoted – quite possibly a concept you have not experienced.
Through mutual communication, a professional and aggressive work ethic and while prioritizing safety, we can complete your projects on time and on budget, often times resulting in savings and early completion.
If you feel our price isn’t as competitive as the other guy, give us a call and we will explain to you how we can gain weeks on your schedule by attacking your job with multiple drills and accelerated schedules – all of which offer you hidden savings up front that you will realize as we complete our portion of your project. You will be pleased and satisfied that you made the right choice by using DMI to get your project off to a successful start.
It just makes sense to use a contractor who wants to build a relationship with you rather than a one job fling leaving you with claims, change orders and a sloppy work product . . .
Please remember this:
