Welcome to the Academy of Music Northwest, the Puget Sound's premiere pre-college music program. Since 1997, we have dedicated ourselves to preparing area students for admission to the country's top music schools and conservatories.
For students for whom music is a way of life, a passion, as well as a possible vocation, AMNW offers a place to thrive and grow with like-minded students and faculty. We strive to help young classical musicians learn to express their curiosity, creativity, and unique musical voices. Our faculty, in addition to being accomplished performers and composers, are musicians dedicated to the art of teaching. Through classes in music theory and history, ear training, composition, and performance skills, as well as through intense coaching in small ensemble environments, we help usher our students into a rich musical community that can become a home for them throughout their lives.
So come on in! Listen to the music. Learn about us. Visit with us. We hope you will consider becoming a part of the AMNW community.
