Ron Roe graduated from Western Washington University with a Masters Degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. He is a Certified Mental Health Counselor, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Teacher and Certified Sports Counselor with over 30 years of professional experience as a teacher/coach, mental health counselor, clinical hypnotherapist and sports performance consultant for public schools, universities and individual clients.

Ron is currently the Program Director for the Bellingham Hypnosis Center, providing counseling and hypnotherapy for individuals and families. He is also founder of Roe & Associates, an organizational consulting service that provides training/coaching in behavior management and performance enhancement for businesses, sports teams and municipalities throughout the Pacific Coast, Hawaii and Canada.

HYPNOSIS is a natural and normal state of deeply relaxed focus ("Im just resting my eyes") in which the student/client (not a subject!) is either guided or self-directed to a state of enhanced attention. At this level of relaxed awareness, your logical/rational/conscious mind can communicate more effectively (images, suggestions, mental rehearsal) with your intuitive / emotional / subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is the driving force in your life and before any conscious decision can become the desired change, there must be acceptance of that idea at a subconscious levelwillpower alone cannot override existing belief systems, self-image issues and/or behavioral habits.

All hypnosis is both voluntary and self-induced. The "hypnotist"/hypnotherapist simply operates as a tour guide or facilitator, leading your attention to reaching your desired health/behavioral goals.
