Our mission is to offer quality dog grooming to the residents of Bainbridge Island, in a safe and compassionate environment.
Shop hours are Tuesday through Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm, and open Saturday as needed.
For some, this is targeted to be as close to the AKC breed profile as possible.
For some, the pattern may need to be modified for the comfort of the dog, or owner preferences.
Handstripping is a service we offer and recommend especially for the wire-coated terriers and some sporting breeds.
Dematting is offered on a case-by-case basis. Time and behavior permitting, we will do one “Miracle Makeover Groom.” We will try to educate and equip you so that it needn’t happen again. (Your dog will thank you!) If it looks like shorter clipping will be required, we will make every attempt to notify you and get permission before proceeding.
ShedLess Treatments are also available, and will do the most good on a regular 3-4 week schedule.
Nails are normally filed using a dremel tool, for the dog’s safety and comfort.

Pass the Safeway parking lot, and turn right into the parking lot at Paws and Fins Pet Shop. Continue straight into the next parking lot. We are on the right, between Hildebrand Cleaners and Curves Fitness.

I went to Olympia in August to participate in a grooming competition and seminar lecture series put on by the South Sound Groomers Association. This was a new event, and I wanted to support them. It is very important to me to always challenge myself to improve and learn more, and to encourage other groomers to do the same. There is always more to learn, new styles evolving, new tools coming to the market, new concepts to improve our understanding. I absolutely want to be the best groomer I can be, and plan to continue competing and attending lectures after the business stabilizes…
At the competition, I did a “German Trim” for the first time, on Bert. We won First Place in the Poodles Class, Level 1, and then went on to win Best in Show, Level 1! It was great fun, we got great critiques from the renowned judges, and we met lots of groomers and dogs from around the Puget Sound.
