Who are we?
Learning Horizon is a fully licensed family child care. We expertise in taking care of elementary age kids and Chinese teaching. We offer quality after school child care and enrichment programs such as:

Chinese (Mandarin): Level 1-continuing for ages 7-10
Chinese Fun! for ages 5-6

(All classes will be delivered in English except the Chinese classes which will be taught bilingually.)
We're now enrolling after school programs for children ages 5-10 for 2010-2011 school year.
We provide transportation. We're currently serving Roberts Frost Elementary in Lake Washington School District.

The provider got a Master Degree in Computer Science at Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles, CA, USA

The provider used to be a certified Chinese teacher and Computer Science teacher in her country.

The provider is currently teaching Chinese & Math classes at Kelsey Creek Homeschool Center at Bellevue School District.

The provider had 5 years of experience as a certified Chinese & computer science teacher at schools before coming to the US and have 7 years of experience in working with young children.

(We're located in the Kingsgate community, a little bit north of Evergreen Hospital.)

For the safety of our children we DO NOT accept any drop-in visitors or any visitors without prior appointment. We only have open visitor hours on Saturdays. Sorry for the inconvenience that may cause.

Mozart in Action (group piano lesson) Registration is open now.
Session 2: January 6 to March 24, 2010

Lesson Time: 4:00pm-5pm (60 minutes) every Thursday except February 17.
For beginners of ages 5-8
We'll have a 20 minutes of music theory time and activity time as a group, then each student works on a keyboard with the instructor's help for 40 minutes.
Beginners of this age are introduced to keyboard playing, ear training, organized development of pitch, rhythm, and music theory in a fun group setting. Parents should monitor student progress, and supervise practice at home.
Class size: up to 6

Learn Chinese (Mandarin) with us!
Learn Pinyin and Simplified Chinese in our fun and creative Chinese classes! We sing songs, we dance, we talk in Mandarin, we read, we write, and we are crazy! Check our class schedule here!

♥ We offer homework assistance and enrichment programs. All classes will be delivered in English except the Chinese classes which will be taught bilingually. The enrichment programs we offer for 2010-2011school year are as follows.

Mozart in Action (group piano lessons for ages 5-8)
Chinese (Mandarin): Level 1 (ages 7-10)
Chinese Fun! (ages 5-6)
Singapore Math (integrates with Math-U-See hands-on manipulative) (ages 5-10)

♥ Other than academic time, children will have outdoor play time in our fully fenced huge flat backyard and art/craft time and music time. They will also have choice time to choose from dramatic play, reading, playing educational games and free play.
♥ We also have plenty of educational games and learning materials available for your child. Your child will learn Science, Math, Language Arts, Social Study, Chess, Typing...etc. through our fun and educational games.
♥ Big indoor and outdoor play area for kids to learn, explore and play!

♥ When you are busy at work, you are sure your child's needs are taken care of here.

We're currently enrolling children 5-10 years old!
