The Law Office of Mark Knapp has been in business for over seventeen years. Many people need to know specifically how to deal with various issues involving possession and use of firearms. This website has been developed as a portal to identify legal issues related to the needs of our communities and to provide appropriate legal advice where needed. I am only licensed in the State of Washington so any legal advice will relate to Washington law even though there may be information of a more general nature on the site regarding the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
Our goal is to promote the administration of justice (law, criminal and military matters) and equip an armed citizenry with legal information. Although we focus on criminal defense, the firm also emphasizes a practice in United States Constitutional law and employment discrimination.
Our firm, located in Federal Way but serving the whole State of Washington, is deploying some new approaches to the practice of law so we welcome your feedback and have provided an interactive link to facilitate exchange of viewpoints. Whether you just want to know about your rights and obligations or have criminal charges pending against you (or some other legal problem), we will answer your questions and represent you aggressively in the court system. Domestic violence, self-defense issues and false accusations of rape are legal issues with which we normally are able to help ordinary people. Additionally, if you have a domestic violence or a felony conviction the courts will often restore your right to bear arms and/or vacate the conviction.
We are looking for feedback from people with an interest in armed and unarmed self-defense, weapons and other Constitutional issues. I particularly encourage law enforcement and military personnel to give us some feed back because we live in a time when people need to come together to share our various viewpoints.
Thus, we encourage you to use the site to stay in touch, get legal questions answered or simply communicate about how to make our communities safe and enjoyable. If you think you have a legal problem, you can contact me personally at knapp.m@comcast.net. I will respond promptly to your comments or questions and look forward to scheduling a confidential consultation to determine how we may be able to help you.
