Aloha, I am Anna, owner of The Frame Makers. I have been a picture framer for over 20 years at various frame shops in Kent, Bellevue, Seattle and Bonney Lake, and since April 1st (really!) of 2005, I have been taking on the challenge of owning and operating my own business in Tacoma, WA. I grew up expressing myself through art in Alaska and received a degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Seattle. I have a passion for art, framing, color and creativity. I thoroughly enjoy the design process and I love my customers, and I believe it shows. From simplicity to the completely outrageous, my priority is to help you design the perfect framing for your artwork and memorabilia, suited to your taste and budget. The design process is about more than aesthetics, it is a way to truly represent the story of your art. I love to hear your stories!

One of my specialties is custom mat cutting in any shape you can imagine. All work is done in-house, and treated with care as if it were my own. There is always new framed art on the walls, and a comfortable (and evolving) environment.
We use the scraps from custom jobs to make beautiful, one-of-a-kind ready made frames. We even make some odd shapes and sizes, I happen to love miniatures. Come in often to check out our selection. We price these very economically, and when you buy one, we’ll give a free single mat to fit, from the stock we have on hand.
