St. Cecilia's Catholic parish community on Bainbridge Island is part of the mystical body of Jesus Christ - united with Christ by the powerful bonds of a shared unity in faith, hope and love - whose visible head on earth is Pope Benedict XVI.
Saint Cecilia the patron saint of musicians and Church music
As a community of believers we strive to grow in that fidelity, hope and love, daily strengthened by the Sacraments given by Christ to the Church for that purpose - particularly at the Holy Mass. We try to encourage each other in this life - which is a journey with eternal happiness with God in Heaven as its true goal - by prayer, including Eucharist adoration, kindness, good mutual example and also practical assistance.
We have nearly fifty volunteer ministries at St. Cecilia working in a wide array of ways to assist our community and fellow islanders. All people are welcome and invited to attend our worship services and pray with us. We hope, through prayer and these works of charity, to do something beautiful for God, and to manifest in these little ways God's infinite love for all, and to bring all of our fellow Bainbridge Islanders to love God, Who is Love, more and more.
