At Naturopathic Home Care, we provide our Residents with an environment conducive to helping them continue to have a satisfying lifestyle by allowing them to have as much independence as is possible, as well as, help them continue to experience good connections with others, especially loved ones despite whatever ailments afflict them.
Our dedicated team is trained to appreciate that although some conditions cannot be reversed, much can be done to improve one's quality of life and ability to appreciate living. The staff at Naturopathic Home Care are here to help families adapt to these life changes.
At Naturopathic Home Care, we offer close monitoring for each resident. Subtle health changes that can occur can have a direct effect on one's behavior and ability to function. Our goal is to promptly identify these changes and implement individual health care needs as quickly as possible so that a Resident can adequately adapt to the changes and therefore, if possible, not experience any negative effects.
At Naturopathic Home Care, we appreciate a wide range of sound medical therapies. We appreciate that conventional medicine and alternative medicine each have their own strengths and weaknesses, and when used appropriately, can complement each other for the positive benefit of residents. We fully understand that acute illnesses not treated appropriately can manifest many behavioral changes, which can be inappropriately attributed to dementia or a "failing mental health illness". While in some cases such may be the case, there are some instances when it may not. This distinction can be very important on how one is managed medically. Our close monitoring of residents is specifically designed to get the appropriate help each resident needs in a timely manner, as well as, support them as they deal with the changes in their health status.
Most importantly, at Naturopathic Home Care, we understand the value of companionship. Socialization plays a significant part to one's well-being. We believe that the last thing most people want is to be alone. At Naturopathic Home Care, individual attention is planned daily for each resident.
All the services and activities provided at the home are specially tailored to help residents keep healthy, remain active, and to continue to live life with a sense of purpose and self-dignity.
At Naturopathic Home Care Adult Family Home, we of course provide our residents with the essentials, such as, room and board, personal (health) care and support services. But our mission is far more fundamental than that; allow each resident to live life with a sense of purpose and self-dignity. Daily, we reaffirm our residents optimal quality of life through good health practices. This can be achieved through meaningful daily exercise, activity, and proper nutrition. But most importantly, we ensure a familial environment that always seeks to maintain, and when necessary reconnect each resident with their individual sense of home.
