The Canine Country Club kennel provides boarding, all breed training and the breeding of top caliber gun dogs for competitive field trials and hunt tests.

Carlson's Canine Country Club is located on the Snoqualmie River, just outside of Fall City, Washington. The facilities include a large kennel building, 265 acres of grounds (including technical training water, woodlands, grass fields, river access and waterfowl nesting grounds) The Country Club was founded by Bert Carlson, a professional trainer for over 50 years. Bert was a highly successful retriever trainer, having dozens of AKC Field Champions and numerous National Retriever Finalists. The property is a working farm, but has been customized for dog training in conjunction with normal farming practices. With large fields, and water that can easily accommodate a 300 yard swim, Carlson's is a unique asset to the Pacific Northwest.
Our breeding program centers on the type of dog we enjoy living with, working with, and hunting behind. Because of the areas in which birds are most often found are tough on animals, we like a Labrador Retriever with lots of drive and a deep desire to work. We lean towards a medium-sized animal because we feel they hold up better physically and are more comfortable to have around. As most of our business is in the training of gun dogs, we like a dog that loves to work and is responsive to correction. We breed for a good marking dog with a good nose and an intelligent hunting pattern. Owning a duck dog that doesn't like water is useless, so we breed a dog that has good water entry and a strong swimming ability. We like a dog that enjoys training, has a lot of desire and drive and is always ready to go again. We emphasize sound, healthy breeding practices that improve the breed, and provide sound dogs for hunting, testing and training. Many of our pups are active in field trials and hunt tests, and we are proud of their continued success!
Our property is open for day use and training your dogs with one of our trainer on a one-to-one basis or group sessions. Single day use can easily be arranged at our office. We are also a licensed game farm, our property provides all types of cover for realistic scenarios both on land and across water. Each year we host many AKC and UKC field events on our 265 acres: Four small Lakes and a Pond; Retriever Hunt Tests and Field Trials, Spaniel Hunt Tests as well as specialty breed events.
Boarding is available for your dogs on a reservation basis throughout the year. Our staff will be happy to arrange exercise during their stay and provide excellent care while you are away for your vacation. Here at Canine Country Club, your companion will enjoy their own vacation in their home away from home.
