Dr. Hamack was born in Petaluma, California the Chicken Capital of the World. She turned 2 years old while driving up the Alaska-Canada Highway and lived happily in Anchorage, Alaska until 2002, when she left for college. Dr. Hamack was inspired to become a veterinarian at a young age after reading the James Herriot books. At age 12, she began volunteering steadily with a local veterinarian, and braved the ice and snows on many a wintery farm call.
Dr. Hamack graduated with honors from Whitman College in 2006, where she majored in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. In 2010 she graduated with a DVM from Washington State University.
At home, Dr. Hamack spends her time with 2 spoiled-rotten horses, 1 very bad cat and 1 good dog. On the weekends, she can be found competing around the region at rodeos and other events in the Barrel Racing.
Dr. Hamack loves the Tri-Cities area, and feels very fortunate to be able to serve the community through her work at Vista Veterinary Hospital.
