5-day Certification Class
August 23 - 27, Monday - Friday. One of the few classes available on the west coast that teaches the official Adobe curriculum and has an Adobe Certified After Effects Instructor… the only facility located in scenic Seattle. Logic Level 2 Certification Class

#1 - Provides a solid foundation for mastery of the entire Final Cut Studio.
#2 - Assures prospective clients and employers that you have the skills and efficiency to complete their work quickly. Your demo reel showcases your creativity.

Our Seattle classes are close to Seattle Center only two blocks south of Lake Union at the corner of Mercer and Westlake Avenue. We have free parking on our rooftop and the South Lake Union Tram travels to Westlake Center for shopping.

We encourage students to record our class sessions and have the Pulse pens available for purchase. These pens will record for 400 hours and allow you to tap anywhere within your notes and instantly hear what was being said right at the moment the words were being written or the illustration drawn. These notes may then be saved to your computer in Flash movie format for archival and the continued instant access of all your notes and class sessions. This is just one of many ways that we help make sure that you will remember what you have learned in class. After you have exited get in the lane 2nd from left immediately after tunnel to turn left at traffic light on Fairview, go one block and turn right on Republican Street, go three blocks and turn right on Westlake avenue, pass two storefronts and turn right on ramp to free rooftop parking on top of our building which has a red storefront.

David Putman is among the elite few trainers in the world who holds the Apple Master Trainer designation. President and Owner of Discovery Tools since 2000, David was one of the early adopters of the first non-linear digital editing. He taught numerous workshops and consulted with Apple's education market. His real life production experience has refined his teaching to include production work flow techniques not found in other teaching venues. Client list includes, NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, ESPN, Boeing, Symbol (a subsidiary of Ralph Lauren) numerous Federal and State government departments and many local businesses.
Doug Zangar,As a guitarist, Doug has worked with Pavarotti, Vic Damone, Diahann Carrol, Steve Allen, Pat Boone, Florence Henderson, Roger Williams, Joel Grey, The 5th Dimension, the Shirelles, the Drifters and the Clayton/Hamilton Big Band. He has performed at private functions for such luminaries as Paloma Picasso, Alexander Julian, Bill Gates, and Vanna White. Recordings include the recent holiday CD Homeless for the Holidaze (guitar, arranger, and co-producer) and early Jazz Police CDs. As a composer/producer/guitarist he has created soundtracks for numerous commercials and industrial videos for clients including Alaska Airlines, Uwajimaya, Washington Dairy Association and the cities of Bellevue and Everett. Film scoring includes the independent films Mother's Day, Tiptoes, A Beautiful Thing and two Seattle Fly Film Festival films: Capitol Hill and Anatomy of a Fly. Doug received a B.F.A. from Cornish College of the Arts (1982 - magna cum laude) where he studied with Marius Nordal, Gary Peacock and Art Lande. He has also studied film scoring and orchestration with Hummie Mann. He is active in the education system as an affiliate faculty member of Shoreline Community College, teaching Fundamentals of Music (online - WAOL certified), jazz improvisation, instrumental ensembles (rock, rhythm section techniques and guitar quartet ), MIDI sequencing (Digital Performer), group guitar classes and private lessons. An Apple music software specialist, he is a level 2 certified Apple trainer for Logic Pro. He teaches courses for the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program , Discovery Tools and also works with private clients. He formed and leads the Seattle Logic User Group. He is the author of 3 Tutorial DVDs for Groove 3: Music Production With Logic 8 and Logic Operator Vols. 1 and 2. He also gives classes and tutors on Soundtrack Pro and GarageBand. He demonstrated Soundtrack Pro for Apple, Inc. at the 2007 NAB trade show.
