Focus. When you begin to feel overwhelmed, try taking one task at a time. The positive feeling of completing that task will help keep you motivated.
Meditate. A few quiet moments of reflection can bring relief from and even increase your tolerance to stress.
Visualize. Try to picture how you can manage any stressful situation more calmly. A visual rehearsal can help you handle the situation more successfully.
Exercise. Regular exercise is a great way to reduce stress. It benefits the body as well as the mind.
Hobbies. Take a break and try gardening, painting, reading, or something else you might enjoy.
Share. Talking about things with someone can help put things in perspective. Listening to someone can help take the focus off of yourself.
