I knew that I had a decision to make. My doctor added another (the third) blood pressure pill and pointed out my fasting glucose level, 99. "You're only 1 point from being pre-diabetes." I walked away from that appointment realizing that I was doing this to myself. So I made the decision--I joined It Figures in April 2005. I could only do a single circuit, but I stuck with it. After 6 weeks I worked up to 2 circuts and have not looked back. I joined Weight Watchers in July 2005 and reached my goal on May 30, 2006--I lost 80 pounds! My doctor had to decrease my blood pressure pills and my fasting glucose level to 86, back to within normal limits.
On July 1, 2006 my body fat was 29.4%, down from over 45% when I started. Yes, it was hard work, but the rewards are immense. Diet and exercise--it's the only way to go. Thanks Marci!
